Over Death
Luke 24:1-9 | “He is not here, but has risen.” Those seven words spoken at the empty tomb changed everything for all of us. Because of Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection, we can experience new life.
Gossip vs. Praise
James 3:2-12 | Controlling our words may be one of the most difficult things to do. The same mouths we praise God with also can be used to hurt and harm others. Understanding how powerful and dangerous words can be can also lead to using them for the ultimate good which is praising God.
The Peace of God
I Corinthians 15:51-58 | By leaving his tomb empty, Jesus made it possible for all of us to live without fear. In this Easter message, we will see that even when the daily circumstances of life are uncertain, we have peace in our hearts because our future destination has been secured.
Rome
The capital city of the most powerful empire the world has ever known had a strange fascination and fixation with death. From gladiator fights in the Coliseum, to discarding unwanted babies in the trash, to maiming slaves, to savagery on the battlefield, the citizens of Rome were desensitized to the beauty and value of life. This message we will look at what we can do in the Bluegrass state to elevate the eternal value of every person who lives here.
Spring
John 2:1-11 | Jesus liked parties and special events. We find him feasting, celebrating, and rejoicing throughout the Bible. One thing’s for sure: He knew how to live. In this message we’ll look at a wedding he attended in Galilee and how it brought life, joy, and hope to everyone else who was there and how it was a shadow of a future feast.
