BEHIND THE SONG
The idea for Only Jesus was developed after listening to a weekend message here at Southland where these words were emphasized a number of times. This truth, that only Jesus is worthy of praise, struck a chord with us as such a simple, powerful statement the Church could declare together. As our team sat down to write, we started putting together phrases that only Jesus could stake claim to: He’s unending, unfailing, unwavering, and unequaled in greatness, and out of those truths came this song that exalts Jesus as the King of Glory. He’s the only one worthy of our praise.
